Meet the Team
Tasha Haight
Mermaid Tasha is an internationally-performing professional mermaid, PADI Mermaid Instructor Trainer, and children's book author who was recently featured on the Netflix docuseries, MerPeople. She owns a successful mermaid company in the Delmarva area but travels around the globe spreading mermaid magic, from Egypt to Iceland to French Polynesia, and everywhere in between. Her published books tell tales of conservation and wildlife encounters through fun mermaid adventures. Tasha has been listed as one of Maryland's 40 Faces of Tourism in 2022 and was selected as the Worcester County Chamber of Commerce's Business Person of the Year in 2023.

Justinian Dispenza of Andover Media will be joining us as our official videographer for this event!
Justinian is the director of Andover Media, a media production studio based on Maryland's Eastern Shore. He's been fascinated by underwater videography ever since his grandma showed him the Blue Planet series as a child. He has a host of PADI/UTD certs and a great under water video rig. He's filmed mermaids before and loves the juxtaposition of the elegance of natural beauty with the magic of a mermaid. He’s got 10 years of professional video experience and is excited to help create something cool you can use to promote your magic!

Mary Ann Zukowski will be joining us as our official photographer for this event!
Mary Ann Zukowski is an underwater photographer based out of Orlando. A total water woman at heart, born from the Philippines islands and grew up in Florida at a young age. As an experienced freediver and scuba diver, she absolutely loves sharing her passion underwater with others. She has a way of making people look stunning even under the surface, whether it's at the Florida springs or in the ocean. Mary Ann's photography has been featured through Florida State Parks, multiple ocean conservation pages, Blue Spring State Park, and The Knot for "Best Wedding Destinations Around the World." The past 3 years she has gone to the Caribbean Islands, Hawaii and Mexico for unforgettable experiences diving on famous shipwrecks, meeting with professional underwater photographers and diving with manta rays, whales, sea turtles and sharks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an age limit?
There is no maximum age!
There are minimum ages as per our PADI courses:
Ages 8 and up for Basic Mermaid
Ages 10 and up for Mermaid
Ages 12 and up for Advanced Mermaid
There is no minimum age for buddies (non-participants) or Emergency First Response candidates.
Those under 18 will need a parent or guardian to come along as their buddy (or join the fun as a mermaid themselves!).
Can I get more photos/video?
Yes! Please work directly with the photographer or videographer to determine pricing for any extras.
How do I book??
Ready to book? Great! Shoot Tasha an email at info@mermaidtasha.com to secure your spot today! There is a maximum of 8 participants so hurry to claim your spot before they fill up!
Are there payment plans?
Payments can be made anytime ahead of the following dates:
At time of booking - $500 Deposit to Hold Spot
March 1 - last day to register!! $1000 Payment Due
April 1 - Payment for ATV Tour & Pirate Dinner Add-Ons Due
May 1 - $1000 Payment Due
August 1 - $1000 Payment Due
September 29 - final payment due
You are welcome to pay more frequently to reduce amount of payment at once as long as all minimums are paid by the dates above.
We accept Bank transfer (also called ACH or eCheck), Zelle, wire transfer, or credit card. Credit card will add a 4% processing fee. Bank transfer, wire transfer, and Zelle can be processed electronically with no charge.
Do I need insurance?
Travel insurance is highly recommended! I recommend Allianz.
Dive insurance is also highly recommended! I recommend DAN.
Do I need a Passport?
Unless you are a Mexican national, you will need a passport.

Do I need to do anything beforehand?
If you answer "yes" to anything on the medical, or if you are going for Mermaid Instructor, you will need a physician to sign off on the dive medical prior to arrival.
eLearning for all PADI courses will also be sent prior to arrival. It is highly recommend that you complete these before joining us in Mexico as we will be very busy once there and eLearning must be completed to receive your certifications.
What is the Cancellation policy?
Cancellations prior to March 1 will receive a 75% refund of funds paid.
Cancellations between March 1 - September 1 will receive a 50% refund of funds paid.
Cancellations after September 1 will result in loss of funds paid, unless a replacement is found in which case you would lose any processing fees & eLearning costs.
